The Slasher Is the Sex Maniac Blu Ray Review

Everyone is unfaithful.  That seems to be the thesis in this infamous giallo movie.  Hell, when the women are this beautiful – Susan Scott anyone? – I don't even care if 70% of the motion-picture show is merely bedchamber glimpses past a lanky stranger in a black trench coat.  This murderous romp is for the scum in us all.

So Sweet, And so Dead a.grand.a. The Slasher ...is the Sex Maniac! lives again with this sectional release through Diabolik DVD.

The click of the Ricoh camera is a dead giveaway.  The high fashion is another.  And the women.  Oh so snazzy and supple.  The cast is full of thunderous dazzler: Sylva Koscina, Annabella Incontrera, Krista Nell, and Femi Benussi to proper noun but a few of the actresses caught in the lens of this murder mystery.  Just, for me, it is Susan Scott who seals the bargain on this one.

The Italians really can selection them.  Get out it and then to managing director Roberto Bianchi Montero (Heart of the Spider) to exploit their form in almost every scene (including backgrounds) and so surround them with a bunch of certifiable carnival freaks.  Impotent men be warned, actor Silvano Tranquilli as Paolo Santangeli is correct on your heels.  Surely all the murders of these cute women are related.  And, every bit a lawyer, he knows all the right questions to ask.

So Sweet Then Dead, complete with a make new Hard disk scan with extensive color corrections, has arrived on blu-ray thanks to efforts of Code Cherry.  And its camera takes in all the eye processed and the necking as one black-cloaked serial killer photographs and then kills, kills, kills his way to the very to the very tippy top of the food chain.  Sure, the men become a clean getaway, but this only adds to the instance against the killer.

You are all sinners!  Blouses and pants drop as soon as doors are closed or young adults are in cars.  And in that location's e'er a camera clicking away at the spicy moments betwixt an unfaithful homo and woman.  So throats are slashed.

With composer Giorgio Gaslini's sometimes lush and sometimes jazzy score guiding the killer's hand on screen, we are quite easily swept up in the activeness every bit Inspector Capuana (Farley Granger) makes his rounds, trying to understand the madness behind why a killer would leave photographs of the kills with the men ever scratched out.  A misogynist through and through?  Or is this cloaked effigy actually a woman?
